One of the last vestiges of the Stapleton International Airport (1929-1995), the tower rewards guests who climb the 11 flights of stairs with some of the best views of Denver and the Rocky Mountains.

StoryWalk Adorns East Colfax with Original Poetry

New interactive art is now adorning the East Colfax neighborhood in some of the most unexpected places, from panels atop wooden posts throughout McNichols Park to vinyl-wrapped electrical boxes along Colfax Avenue. The panels and electrical boxes are inscribed with original poetry and are the “stops” in a “StoryWalk,” the first art installation by the Denver non-profit Sidewalk Poets.

Visitors Flock to the Newest Zoo Habitat

Denver Zoo unveiled a new habitat for its Chilean and American flamingos on Nov. 16 to joyful cheers from the crowd as five fluffy gray chicks and two adult flamingos rushed, honked, and flapped their way through a paper ribbon that divided the nearby bear habitat from the new flamingo digs.
