Living at the Mint Town Center looks more like life in a mini village than in an apartment building.
A self-employed or work-from-home person could fill their days with a full range of activities including: work (quiet or socially), fitness (individual or on-demand classes on a TV or swimming in an Olympic-sized pool), meditation in a Zen garden or yoga room, barbeque by the pool, reading or socializing in the living room, or hosting a dinner party by renting the large kitchen.
Packages don’t get stolen off the porch, they get delivered to a locker. And when the crazy relative comes to visit, they can stay in the $120/night one-bedroom guest room with kitchenette. Residents can also bring their best friend Fido or kitty (for an upfront and monthly fee). Manager Claudia Saez says about 40 percent of Stapleton apartment residents overall have a pet.
The 399-unit building is now 15 percent leased and will be substantially completed by June 1, says Lee Ferguson, development director at Forest City. It is LEED silver and all lighting is LED. Repurposed boxcar wood and beetle kill pine are used on interior walls.
The Mint has an Olympic-sized pool because Ferguson, a competitive swimmer (who was on a winning relay team crossing the English Channel) astutely noticed that just a few more feet added to the original plan would make it Olympic sized.
The units have 37 different floor plans and range in size from approximately 575 square feet to over 1,600 square feet. Prices range from about $1,400 to $3,500. Mint Town Center is located at 7575 E. 29th Place in Stapleton. Call 844.405.2229 for information.
