Bald Eagle

Although the bald eagle has been considered our national symbol for more than 240 years, the United States Congress had never made it official. On Christmas Eve 2024, then-President Joe Biden declared the bald eagle the official national bird by signing the legislation initiated by Minnesota’s legislators. Here are some of my photos of this majestic bird, Haliaeetus leucocephalus, taken around Denver.
