Colorado Votes in the Presidential Primary on Super Tuesday, March 3

Here’s what you need to know:

Vote by mail, not at a caucus meeting

This year, for the first time, the Colorado Presidential Primary will be
on Super Tuesday and voters will receive a mailed ballot.

Unaffiliated voters can participate in either party’s primary

Since 2018, unaffiliated voters in Colorado have had the ability to choose a party and vote in the primary. They have three options: 1) They can go to govotecolorado.com and select a party preference to get the selected party’s ballot in the mail. 2) They can go in person to a Voter Service and Polling Center to choose the party’s ballot they want to vote. 3) If they do neither, they will receive both ballots and they can choose and return just one ballot. If two ballots are returned, neither will be counted.

Unaffiliated voters returning a primary ballot will remain unaffiliated; however, under state law, the party of the ballot you choose will be recorded in your voter record.
