Conrad Robinson climbs for Make-A-Wish.
“Tired” was the one-word response from Conrad Robinson after he finished his 100th climb on Saturday at the Übergrippen Indoor Climbing Crag in Central Park.
He was tired, but the almost 10-year-old boy didn’t stop climbing until he completed 133 routes, or just a little more than one mile in vertical length, a feat that took eight hours to compete as his family and friends cheered him on.

Conrad Robinson was all smiles when he hit 100 climbs but kept going.
Conrad’s goal was and is to raise as much money as possible for Make-A-Wish Colorado so other families like his can go on trips. The foundation made the wish of Conrad’s sister, Pippa, come true in 2022 when the family took a trip to Walt Disney World. Pippa passed away in October 2024.
Conrad started fundraising in her honor, and last year, on his 9th birthday, presented a $62,331 check to Make-A-Wish in an assembly and celebration at Swigert Elementary School with his classmates and family.
Principal Shelby Dennis told the students at the assembly that she hoped the students were inspired by Conrad and by Pippa “to make this world a better place.” She added: “I’m inspired, and I am so grateful for you, Conrad, for doing everything that you did to have such a positive impact for so many families.”
Conrad’s goal on Saturday was 90 routes, which he was just about to reach at about 2 p.m. That wasn’t enough for him. He wanted to keep going to 100, inspired in part by the promise from his father Patrick of a large Kona Ice from the truck parked outside the facility.
Once the treat was secured, he was on his way to 33 more climbs with 22 other climbers helping raise funds, and more than 300 people who pledged money to the fund drive, titled “Climb for Wishes with Rad.”
“Grateful” was the word Conrad used to describe all the people who pledged and climbed for Team Pippa.
In April, Conrad was chosen for the 2025 Make-A-Wish Hero award for his fundraising work.
