Drivers who use Quebec St. in northeast Denver will see closures starting December 2. The work is being done to add sidewalks in the area along Quebec between 12th Ave. and Montview Blvd. The traffic signal at 17th Ave. will also be upgraded.
Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructre (DOTI) will be closing two- to three-block sections of the road during the week while the work is being done. DOTI says the road closures are needed to keep work crews and the public safe. The road will be open on the weekends.
The current closure is between 13th Ave. and Colfax Ave. Upcoming closures are listed below.
Full closures of Quebec St. on weekdays:
- 13th Ave. to Colfax Ave. – December 2 to December 20
- Colfax Ave. to 17th Ave. – January 2 to February 17
- 17th Ave. to Montview Blvd.– February 18 to April 3
The sidewalks are being installed with funding from the Elevate Denver Bond, which voters approved in 2017 to fund improvements to city infrastructure. The original schedule for the Quebec work had it being finished in September. The plan is now to finish in early spring.
