May 21—QuickBooks Connect Local for Small Businesses
On May 21, Intuit QuickBooks is hosting an educational and networking event called ‘QuickBooks Connect Local’ for Colorado small businesses. The event will offer QuickBooks training and certification, inspiration and connections for accountants and developers. It will consist of morning and afternoon sessions featuring a main-stage session including a local Boulder business owner, breakout sessions, and opportunities for networking. May 23—Journalist Helen Thorpe, Guest Speaker for Bookstore Fundraiser
On Sat., May 23, author and journalist Helen Thorpe will speak at the Montview Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia, to raise proceeds for the Park Hill Community Bookstore. A silent auction, with wine and refreshments, will open at 5:30pm followed by Thorpe’s presentation at 7pm. Colorado Free University (CFU) will host its fifth annual Un-Job Fair from 8:30am–4:45pm on Sat., May 30—a daylong series of presentations and seminars for those running their own businesses or considering launching one. The 2015 Park Hill Arts Festival will take place 10am–5pm on Sat. and Sun., May 30 and 31. The juried fine art and craft show will showcase 65 artists.
