Amanda A. Allshouse
I relocated to Stapleton from Chapel Hill, NC in 2007, became a block captain in time to help coordinate our first block party in 2008, and was elected to the SUN board in 2009. On the board, I have participated in the Sustainability committee hosting seminars and Stapleton’s first Earth Day celebration 2009-10, Education committee refining elementary school projections based on numbers of children ages 0-4 in Stapleton (2009), Outreach (2010-) board secretary (2015-), and I represent SUN on the Citizen Advisory Board (CAB) Zoning and Planning committee (2014-). I live in Central Park North with my husband Ben and our rambunctious boys, and I am an Instructor of Biostatistics in the Colorado School of Public Health.
Jennifer E. Arzberger
I moved to Stapleton in 2013 from LoDo to enjoy the family-friendly community; my daughter Gigi and I especially enjoy summertime in Stapleton. I serve the SUN Board as a champion for the voices of our community members and look forward to continuing to serve and support my community in this role. At CU Denver, I teach courses ranging from Children’s Thinking and Learning; Psychology of Gifted, Talented, and Creative Children; and Research in Schools. Formerly, I served as the Educator Preparation Project Manager for the Colorado Department of Higher Education, and lead the development of Downtown Denver Expeditionary School. I’ve earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction; an M.A. in Mathematics, an M.A. in Teaching and Teacher Education, and a B.A. in Elementary Education.

My family has lived in Stapleton since 2004, and we have two daughters who attended Westerly Creek and Bill Roberts. I am currently an Analyst with the Government Accountability Office (GAO), where I help the federal government improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government programs. I was also a writer and editor in the newsletter industry, and worked for a non-profit organization helping local communities set up farmers markets. In the 1990s I lived in Latin America and England, where I worked as a journalist and completed a Masters degree in Social Policy and Planning at LSE. I am also a trained legal, social, and family mediator.
Lucia Correll
I am a social worker, wife and mother. My career has revolved around child welfare for the County, State and internationally, developing child welfare systems in Romania, Botswana, Tanzania and Swaziland. In 2005, after 30 years in Park Hill, I moved to Stapleton because of Stapleton’s promise to be a diverse and sustainable community. I enjoy the multitude of activities in Stapleton: playing bridge and mah jong, exploring the open space, and volunteering. I have been active with Central Park Recreation Center, CAB, the Parks sub-committee of CAB and the outreach committee of SUN as a block captain. I believe that community involvement is what makes any neighborhood a good place to live and we are fortunate at Stapleton to have such an involved and educated group of residents.

We first visited Denver from Boston in 2010, when we stumbled upon the Stapleton neighborhood and instantly fell in love with the urban concept and moved here in 2013. I am on the board of my sub-HOA and the VP of membership for the MOMS Club of Stapleton. I work in real estate but when not working, I am usually spending time with my husband, four-year-old daughter and two-year-old son, and neighbors in our courtyard. We love attending MCA events and look forward to walkability of the Stanley and Eastbridge towncenter. I am interested in being a part of SUN because I truly care about this community and I want to take an active role in ensuring that it continues to be the best place it can be for the families who call it home.

My family and I have lived in Eastbridge Stapleton since 2006. Our awesome children have attended Westerly Creek, Bill Roberts and DSST. My wife Katie and I own our family Real Estate business Distinctive Properties, are both Denver natives, and are vested in helping us have a great neighborhood in Stapleton. Beginning in 2007, I have held many roles on the SUN board: Secretary, Vice-President, and inclusivity committee; and have represented SUN with the CAB and its Housing and Diversity Committee, Communications sub-committee, and the Greater Stapleton Business Association. I am interested in ensuring a wide range of Stapleton homes and residents and helping local business thrive in this community. I have enjoyed my time with SUN and will continue to do my best to help moving this neighborhood in a great direction.

I served on the SUN Board (2006-08), but stepped down because of added work responsibilities. I have continued to participate in meetings of CAB’s Parks Advisory Group; I was involved in the resident-initiated effort to encourage the City to complete Westerly Creek North Park; I am the volunteer chair of the Northeast Greenway Corridor Working Group (2014-); and a Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership board member (2005-present). Now fully retired after 9 years of practicing law and 26 years as Administrator of the Colorado Water Quality Control Commission, I am ready to return to the SUN board. My wife Darcie and I have lived in Eastbridge, Stapleton for 10.5 years.

I’ve been a member of the SUN Board since 2014 and my efforts have predominantly focused on Sustainability. I also serve as the Vice President of my Sub-HOA and am actively involved in a local Toastmaster’s club. Since moving to Denver in 2008, I’ve held various positions at not-for profits which instilled in me the importance of being a community steward, advocate and promoter. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to support the residents of Stapleton and I look forward to being able to continue that role in the future. I have lived in Stapleton since fall of 2013 when my wife and I moved to Conservatory Green.

I live with my husband, Matt and our two cats; my son, Dion, lives in Fort Lauderdale, FL. My hobbies are traveling, working around the house and bridge.
