Natural Balance Integrative Health is under contract to purchase a .55-acre parcel of land in Eastbridge. The business would occupy 2,940 square feet of the proposed 4,900-square-foot building. Natural Balance offers chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy, and will be moving and expanding from the current location at 3055 Roslyn St. The owners, Dr. Jessica Young and Ross Wallace, are seeking a compatible business for the remaining 2,000 square feet (e.g., physical therapist, family medical practice or specialty physician/dentist). The site will accommodate 20 parking spaces with an additional six to 10 spaces on the adjoining streets. The parcel is on the northeast corner of 29th Dr. and Havana St. Groundbreaking is planned for late August, with project completion in February 2017. The design firm is JoeArchitect.
For the larger Eastbridge development, an agreement for mid-block pedestrian crossings on MLK Blvd. and E. 29th Drive between Geneva and Galena streets has apparently been reached between the city and the developer. CAB chair David Netz said those locations serve the commercial development but are too far west to serve the needs of the larger neighborhood. He and other committee members said the crossings should be located at Geneva Court. There, the crossing would line up with a street (Geneva Court) and with the F-15 pool to the south. Netz said he will follow up with the city on this issue.
