Beyond Opposition: Building Bridges Through Dialogue

As our political divisions grow deeper, the need to build bridges across those divisions becomes all the more urgent. At the Civic Canopy, we have taken up that challenge because we recognize how necessary dialogue is to move our country from opposition to collaboration.

That’s why we are excited to announce Beyond Opposition: Building Bridges Through Dialogue, featuring keynote speaker Tania Israel Ph.D., renowned author of Beyond Your Bubble: How to Connect Across the Political Divide and Facing the Fracture: How to Navigate the Challenges of Living in a Divided Nation. Much of Dr. Israel’s work is on navigating political conflict, for which she has received honors from Congress, the California State Legislature, and the American Psychological Association.

We’re building a lecture where attendees will explore strategies for respectful dialogue, addressing conflicts, and transforming adversarial relationships into productive collaborations. There will be two exclusive workshops with Sheffy Minnick, co-author of Transforming Conflict and Collaboration. This lecture aims to delve into practical strategies for fostering respectful dialogue, addressing deep-seated conflicts, and transforming adversarial relationships into productive collaborations.
