Arise Church Denver Hosts Second Annual Every Nation Sunday to Celebrate Unity in Diversity
Denver, CO – September 22, 2024 – Arise Church Denver is excited to announce its second annual Every Nation Sunday, a celebration of unity and diversity within the church community. This event will take place on Sunday, September 22nd, during/after both the 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. services, inviting all to experience a unique gathering that transcends cultural and national boundaries.
In a world that often seems increasingly divided, Arise Church Denver is working to change the narrative. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. poignantly observed in 1964, “11 o’clock on Sunday morning is the most segregated hour in American life.” Unfortunately, that observation still holds true today. Arise Church strives to be different by cultivating a community that reflects the diversity of heaven, where people from every nation, tribe, and language come together.
“Our vision is to be an ‘Every Nation Congregation,'” says Pastor Matt Wolf “We believe the good news of Jesus is for everyone, regardless of their background. We are committed to building a church community where all people feel welcomed and celebrated.”
In 2023, Arise Church Denver celebrated its first Every Nation Sunday, marking a milestone in its commitment to diversity. During the event, a snapshot survey revealed that attendees originated from 31 different nations and spoke 27 different languages. This year, the church is excited to continue this tradition of celebrating unity in diversity.
The upcoming Every Nation Sunday invites participants to wear clothing and bring a dish that celebrates their culture, ethnic heritage, or nation of origin. The event will include a special worship service followed by a time of fellowship and sharing food.
