History Colorado is hosting the 1st annual Preservation for a New Day: Panel and Community Conversations.
This is a new forum designed to challenge traditional ideas about preservation and community development. This inaugural event will focus on housing, exploring how to take a project from concept to completion while honoring community and place. The event brings together diverse voices—policymakers, preservationists, architects, community leaders, and more—to push the boundaries of what housing and preservation can look like in communities across Colorado.
Panelists include:
-Laura Brudzynski, President/CEO, Archway Communities
-Stefan Chavez-Norgaard, Assistant Professor, Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver
-Chris deGruy Kennedy, President/CEO, Bell Policy Center
-Councilwoman Jamie Torres, City of Denver, District 3
-Moderated by Dawn DiPrince, President/CEO, History Colorado & State Historic Preservation Officer
The program features an hour-long panel discussion, followed by an opportunity to engage one-on-one with experts in the field. Whether you’re a private developer, government official, consultant, or simply curious, we invite you to join the conversation, connect with thought leaders, and help shape the future of housing in Colorado.
