Tuesday Night Summer Socials: Camilla Vaitaitis, and Performances by Red Rocks Community College

From 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Camilla Vaitaitis will offer a free live performance in the museum gardens outside (weather permitting).

From 5:30 – 6:30 PM, Student Theatre Performances by Red Rocks Community College will take place inside.`

Join the Center for Colorado Women’s History every Tuesday evening in June, July, and August! We will be open late until 7:00 PM to enjoy free live music and company in our gardens.

About our partners:

Camilla Vaitaitis is a pianist, vocalist, guitarist, and composer based in Denver, CO. She graduated from the University of Denver in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Piano and a Master’s degree in Jazz Composition in 2020. She plays in several different groups, including her indie rock band Barbara and her original jazz project, the Camilla Vaitaitis Quartet. Camilla dedicates time to performing throughout Denver and composing pieces for a variety of groups, including big bands, rock bands, and more.​ She is a published composer with Brava Jazz Publishing.

Red Rocks Community College Theatre (RRCC) students will be featured in short theatrical presentations reflecting on the lives of Colorado women featured in the Center for Colorado Women’s History exhibition Rumors of Bloomers. The presentations are based on a research project the theatre history class undertook in collaboration with the museum.
