24th Annual Denver Jewish Film Festival

The 24th Annual JCC Mizel Arts and Culture Center’s Denver Jewish Film Festival presented by the Sturm Family Foundation takes place Feb. 5-19, 2020. The festival includes 43 films on a variety of topics showcasing Israeli and Jewish cinema. Opening night at the Denver Jewish Film Festival

Golda’s Balcony, the Film at the Denver Jewish Film Festival

February 8

The Denver Jewish Film Festival presented by the Sturm Family Foundation is showing Golda’s Balcony, the Film on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. The film is a riveting portrait of one of the great women of our time, portrayed Off-Broadway by the legendary actress Tovah Feldshuh. Producer Dave Fishelson will be in attendance at this show. As a play on Broadway and Off, Golda’s Balcony sold out over 500 performances, becoming the longest-running, one-woman show in Broadway history.

Standing Up, Falling Down at the Denver Jewish Film Festival

The Denver Jewish Film Festival presented by the Sturm Family Foundation is showing the film Standing Up, Falling Down (Comedy, 2019) on Feb. 8 at 9:15 p.m. Director Matt Ratner will be in attendance at this show. The film is about a failing stand-up comedian, Ben Schwartz (from Parks and Recreation), and an alcoholic dermatologist (Billy Crystal) who give each other the confidence to face the failures in their lives. Picture of His Life at the Denver Jewish Film Festival

The Denver Jewish Film Festival presented by the Sturm Family Foundation is showing the film Picture of His Life on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. Writer/Director Dani Menkin will be in attendance at this event. The film is about world-renowned wildlife photographer Amos Nachoum who dreams of photographing a polar bear underwater. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for students and seniors.

Aulcie at the Denver Jewish Film Festival
