Cocktails in Cool Places: Aurora Fox Theater

Built in 1946 to serve the needs of a growing population, this movie palace features an Art Moderne entrance and 61-foot neon sign. A popular destination for children and adults throughout the 1950s and 1960s. The 1970s, however, witnessed a period of decline. After a fire in 1981 caused building damage its future was threatened. Join us to learn more about the theater’s history, the journey to save it, and its current function.
