ROBERT BLAHA 

Background:
Robert, his wife, Susan, and their seven children have dedicated considerable time, energy and resources to community service throughout 23 years in Colorado, including actively engaging in the school choice movement.  Robert has served on several Boards including Hope & Home, USA Boxing, and was founding member of The Thorn Board of Directors.

Robert Blaha is a republican candidate for United States Senator.

Education:
Robert Blaha holds a BA from the University of Iowa where he was the Forest Evashevski Scholar Athlete. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Human Resource Executive Program.

Experience:
–Robert is a nationally recognized expert in analyzing leadership and business processes to streamline organizations, cut costs, and increase productivity.
–After a successful career in industry, where Robert held key and senior management positions with four major corporations (Ford, Monsanto, Engelhard, ABB), he turned to startup businesses, directly creating jobs and opportunities in the community. His most visible effort was to co-found Integrity Bank & Trust in Colorado Springs, where he currently serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors.
–In 1993 Robert founded Colorado Springs-based Human Capital Associates after analyzing major initiative disconnects within organizations across the nation. The company’s 22 year success has come from listening, studying, and creating coalitions to benefit businesses and nonprofits.
–Robert is an internationally sought speaker on leadership and organizational change and has authored numerous articles and three books on the topics: Beyond Survival, The Archer Chronicles and The Lean6sigma Accelerator. He has been cited and featured in Quality Digest, Human Resource Management, Chief Learning Officer, Industry Week and Harvard Management Update as an expert on Business Transformation.

Why you should vote for me:
Robert has signed the Term Limit pledge and promises to go to Washington, serve and come home. He guarantees if he doesn’t help secure the borders, cut the deficit and simplify the tax code, he will not run for a second term.  Robert Blaha is a different ‘cut’ of person with unique skills and will get results, not give excuses.

Background:
Mr. Glenn is a graduate of Doherty High School in Colorado Springs. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy, an MBA from Western New England College and a Juris Doctor degree from New England School of Law.
Experience:
–Mr. Glenn retired from the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel after 21 years of military service. He was first appointed to the Colorado Springs City Council in 2003 and was later elected to serve a four-year term in April 2005 and reelected for a second full term in 2009. As a City Council Representative, he served as a member of a board of elected officials responsible for overseeing a $350 million dollar municipal operating budget, a $1 billion dollar four-service municipal utility company and a $600 million dollar municipal health care system.
–Mr. Glenn has built a successful law practice as well as balanced numerous multi-million and multi-billion dollar budgets for local, regional and national agencies including the City of Colorado Springs, El Paso County, CO and the United States Air Force. He also has first-hand experience managing a base realignment and closure process.
–On November 2, 2010, Mr. Glenn was elected to serve in his current position as the El Paso County Colorado District #1 Commissioner. As a County Commissioner, Mr. Glenn is a member of a board of elected officials responsible for overseeing and implementing all federal and state requirements impacting County financial operations serving over 650 thousand residents.

I grew up in a small town, my mother a teacher and father a small business owner. My wife and I love the outdoors, fell in love with Colorado and moved to Denver shortly after our marriage. My wife Sarah is an interior designer and I am the Director of Sales for an engineering company and run my own consulting business focused on recycling.

As a businessman I work with a tremendously diverse group of companies in both size and operations. I feel that I have the perfect balance of education in public policy and real world business experience to have a meaningful impact at the Capitol.

Why people should vote for me:
–I am not a politician. We cannot afford another career bureaucrat in office. We are all tired of the same old same old from our political system and we must break the cycle. I have the experience to make Colorado a great place to do business and I have the youth to bring hardworking energy and an independent mind to the Legislature.
–We need leaders crafting good policy that will actually improve the lives of Coloradans. We need leaders who can implement common sense regulations. We need leaders who are focused on making the right decisions, not furthering their political careers.
–I‘m a fiscal conservative who believes firmly that our hard-earned taxpayer dollars cannot be wasted. I believe in true conservative principles of opportunity and freedom. That we should all have the opportunity to work hard and earn a living. That we should all have freedom from government interference to live our God given lives as we see fit.
–I ask for your vote to elect somebody to the Colorado General Assembly who truly wants success for Colorado and wants to continue to make it a great place to live for his family and all families.
