- Extending MLK Blvd. as a four lane arterial street east 1.1 miles from Havana Street to Peoria Street.
- Constructing detached multi-use paths on both sides of the roadway.
- Installing landscaping in a raised median and between the roadway and multi-use paths.
The project is funded and start of construction is anticipated to begin late summer 2016. An Environmental Analysis (EA) prepared in 2011 is being updated.
A short presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. Post-meeting comments must be received on or before March 31 in order to become a part of the meeting record. 13 ft travel lane? Is the speed limit going to be 50mph? A lane that wide with that large a clear zone will definitely encourage high speeds.
