An illustration of the plan for Beeler Flats
Construction of the Beeler Flats apartments is expected to begin in August. The affordable housing rental project will be built at 56th Ave. and Chester Way in Northfield, near the construction site of Solana Beeler Park apartments.
The new building will have 64 units with ground-floor commercial office space. The Foundation for Sustainable Urban Communities, a local non-profit, will move to the new location.
A second building is also planned for the project, but that work won’t happen until more tax credits are approved.
The first phase of construction of Beeler Flats is expected to take 13 months.
A reminder that Central Park United Neighbors (CPUN) currently has a neighborhood survey bit.ly/2025cpunsurvey to get feedback from residents about a variety of topics including development north of I-70.
The developers of another project in the north area of Central Park, the Shops at Norhfield Apartments, will also share information at the CPUN meeting on Feb 18. Here’s the link to RSVP for the meeting.
