Balfour Senior Living and Northstar Commercial Partners have announced plans to jointly develop a 63,000-square-foot community on a 1.5-acre site located at 2979 Uinta Street in the Stapleton neighborhood (SW corner of MLK and Uinta St.). It will comprise 58 assisted living units and 16 memory care units. The project is slated to open for occupancy the first half of 2017.

The parcel was acquired last September from Forest City for $1.565 million. The use has been anticipated for some time. Its neighbors include two age-qualified residential projects, the 108-unit Greenways at Stapleton, and the 150-unit Grove at Stapleton (nearing completion). Amenities will include a salon, farm-to-table dining, chauffeured transportation and a fitness center.
