Michelle Rotter, owner of June Ruby, Northfield’s newest boutique, has a “passion for fashion.” But she understands that many women hate to shop, or simply don’t have time for it. “We deliver in Stapleton and close by,” says Rotter. “For no extra fee, we can bring a variety of items for you to try on at home and you can send back what you don’t want. It’s great for someone who has no time to shop.”
June Ruby opened Nov. 6 across from Bath & Body Works in Northfield. “We have our own parking in back, so you can pop in and out quickly,” said Rotter. We’re all about the busy woman.”
June Ruby offers “a curated selection of stylish but functional clothing,” according to Rotter. “We offer just the best, good quality pieces. You might compare us to a Nordstrom’s, except we’re a small independent boutique.
“Our customer is the 28-plus-age woman who values quality over quantity: she’d rather have a few key pieces than a closet full of low-quality items that need replacing more quickly.”
Rotter, a Stapleton mother of three, started June Ruby as an online business with her sister Barbara Walsh. The first June Ruby store, named after their two grandmothers, opened in Grand Junction in 2014. “I was the younger sister, so she dressed me up when we were kids,” Rotter said. “We have pictures of me in some fun get-ups!”
Rotter partners with a personal shopper who helps customers find their style or organize their wardrobe. “Our stylist can come to your house, help you go through your closet and recommend new combinations from what you already have. If you need a piece or two, she can suggest them. Or you can meet her at the store to shop.”
June Ruby’s hours are Mon.–Thurs., 11am–8pm; Fri. and Sat., 10am–9pm; and Sun., 11am–6pm.
June Ruby is at 8216 Northfield Blvd., Unit 1345. For more information, see juneruby.com or call 303.880.2965.
