TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and particularly to the electors of the Westerly Creek Metropolitan District (the “District”), City and County of Denver, Colorado.
The regular election for the District held on May 3, 2022 (the “Election”) was cancelled because the Designed Election Official received affidavits of withdrawal from two of the candidates. This created a situation where after the Election there was one (1) vacant seat on the Board.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 32-1-808, C.R.S., that one or more vacancies currently exist on the Board of Directors of the District effective May 4, 2022. Any qualified, “eligible elector” of the District interested in serving on the Board of Directors for the District should file a Letter of Interest with the Board by 5:00 p.m., on June 17, 2022. Letters of Interest should include the reasons why the eligible elector wants to be appointed to the Board.
According to the Special District Act, an “eligible elector” means a person who is registered to vote and: (1) who is a resident of the District; (2) who is a property owner of property within the District; or (3) who is the spouse or civil union partner of a property owner who owns property within the District. (See Section 32-1-103, C.R.S.)
Letters of Interest should be sent to Westerly Creek Metropolitan District, via U.S. Mail at c/o White Bear Ankele Tanaka & Waldron, 2154 E. Commons Ave., Suite 2000, Centennial, CO 80122; or via email to Megan Murphy at mmurphy@wbapc.com.
