I developed my individual sound through studies at New York’s Drummers’ Collective in New York, pursuing a BA at Berklee College of Music in Boston and receiving a Master’s in music and music education at the Zurich Conservatory (Switzerland). I also studied the cajon at Taller Flamenco in Seville, Spain. I’ve been teaching professionally for over 15 years to students of all age and levels. Throughout my professional career I always made sure to be an active live-performer. Colorado School of Strings – Kelly Benson
Beginning violin classes and beginning cello classes in Stapleton studio for ages 6 to 11. Private lessons available for children 12 and older, or for those with previous experience on a string instrument. Taught by Kelly Benson, 2012 recipient of the Colorado American String Teachers Association Award for Exemplary Middle School String Teacher. She encourages students to high levels of achievement while believing strongly in a fun and positive classroom atmosphere.
