Westerly Creek Metro District Election Cancelled

The election for Westerly Creek Metro District board of directors has been cancelled. Two of the three of candidates withdrew the week of April 18. The district taxes commercial and residential land in Central Park for local infrastructure.
Residents should destroy their ballot, not return it via U.S. Mail. Those deemed elected to the board for a term to May 2023: Robert Douglas Marsh. For a Term to May 2025: Derek Lis and Kristin F. Rozansky. Information on WCMD: westerlycreekmetro.org.

    Please explain how Derek Lis and Kristin Rozansky became selected when they were not on the ballot I received.

    Research on candidates has yielded little useful info…. Any recommendations out there on howto educate myself before voting?

        There has to be a story here? Who is getting a free pass and why not new elections?

          Two of the three candidates dropped out. Rules then put the remaining one in office. It will be up to the district board if they want to do a “do over” for the other seat.
