The doldrums of the Great Recession have been blown away by the winds of a strong real estate market in Stapleton. From one end of the former airport to the other, construction crews are laying the foundation for the next surge in development. On the north end, in Section 10 adjacent to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge, a fleet of earth moving equipment is re-shaping the ground for roads and drainage systems that will serve the first filing of 810 dwellings. And in between, an abundance of residential, commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects is causing passers-by to do double-takes and ask – what’s going on over there? Here is the Front Porch’s visual guide to current development activities in Stapleton.
