INVITE-ONLY RIDE FROM DENVER UNION STATION TO DIA
Elected officials & other dignitaries travel the line
7:30am to 10am

GRAND OPENING CEREMONY AT DIA
Gov. Hickenlooper & other dignitaries will speak
10am to noon – Open to the public
Bus routes to DIA: AA, AB, AF, AS, AT, 145X, or 169L
*There is no free parking at the airport

FREE A-LINE TRAIN RIDES FOR THE PUBLIC
Noon to 9pm

Saturday, April 23

ALL RAIL LINES FREE TO THE PUBLIC
5am to 10pm

A LINE CELEBRATIONS
10am to 2pm
Parties will be held at all A Line stations except Peoria
38th and Blake station party will continue until 8pm

FREE STREET PARTY AT CENTRAL PARK STATION
10am to 2pm
Smith Rd. and Uinta St. will be closed

Theme: Central Park Station Takes Flight…
celebrating the imaginative whimsy of flight travel
with a focus on diversity and inclusivity

Five “runways” will be temporarily laid down on closed streets.
Themes and activities include:

1. Runway to Worldly Cuisines
12 food trucks, international culinary options, “community-based” food vendors

2. Runway to Global Arts & Culture
dance groups (Mexican, Ethiopian, Asian, Brazilian), Montbello High School drum line

3. Runway to Kid Adventures
climbing wall, balloons, face painting, gravity play, ring toss, photo booth

4. Runway to Healthy Living
line dancing, aerobics, coretraining, yoga, juice bar, food tasting
Featuring: Bike to Work Day booth, Denver recreation centers,
be well Health & wellness group, Walk to Connect, and EarthWalkLearn

5. Runway to Community Resources
display area for local businesses, institutions, registered community groups,
Denver Police and Firefighters, Digstown, Forest City, Bluff Lake and more!

MAIN STAGE PERFORMANCES
located at the south end of Uinta Street, just north of 37th Place including:
10 – 10:15am Native American Blessing  •  10:25 – 10:40am Capoeira
10:50 – 11:05am Ethiopian Dancers  •  11:40 – 11:55am Drum Line
12 – 12:15pm Art Dedication  •  12:30 – 12:45pm Step Dancing
12:55 – 1:10pm Grupo Folklorico  •  1:20 – 2pm Denver School of the Arts Big Band
2pm Closing Remarks

The free street party is organized by Northeast Transportation Connections (NETC) and partners including: be well, Forest City, and the Stapleton Master Community Association. NETC is the transportation management association for Stapleton and northeast Denver. The event has been funded through NETC’s budget and with support from a number of event sponsors.
