The August SUN Outreach Meeting will be on Tuesday, August 21 from 6:30-7:25pm at the Central Park Recreation Center. The August SUN Board Meeting will follow from 7:30-8:45pm. Both meetings are open to the public.

The June Outreach meeting began with updates from Denver police. Lt. Ian Culverhouse introduced his replacement, Lt. Kevin Hines, the new lieutenant for the Stapleton area.
DPD Staffing Changes Bring New Lieutenant to Stapleton
Among the Denver Police Department staffing changes recently announced is the placement of Lieutenant Kevin Hines, who began serving the Stapleton portion of District 5 near the end of June.

At the May 15th Annual Community Forum, residents had the opportunity to vote (yes or no) on the question “Should the name of the Registered Neighborhood Organization as reflected in Article 1, Section 1, of the Stapleton United Neighbors Bylaws be changed from Stapleton United Neighbors to Central Park United Neighbors?”
The outcome of the vote: SUN Will Keep its Name
On May 15, Stapleton residents voted on whether to change the name of their registered neighborhood organization to Central Park United Neighbors or keep it Stapleton United Neighbors (SUN).
What’s in a Name?
All Stapleton residents and persons who own residential property within the footprint of SUN are invited to attend the 6pm meeting on May 15 at the Cube, 8371 E. Northfield Blvd.
